Scammers

Hey guys! Wolfetter here with a new post, and this one is all about those nasty scammers we see around Jamaa.

SCAMS TO WATCH OUT FOR:

1. "It's my birthday, I have had no presents, please send me rares!"
This is often used in a big, crowded place to attract attention. This speech may be true, but
either way, do NOT send this person rares unless you are their friend (even then, you do
     not have to!)

2. "I say no to every trade"
Unfortunately, this phrase is used very often, and too many people fall for it. This type of            scammer will decline your trade until you get to trust him/her, and then (when you trade a            rare or beta) they will run off with your item.

3. "I'm poor, if you are nice trade me good items..."
People will often lie on the ground in Jamaa Township, dressed in nothing but a necklace, to        try and fool people into thinking that they are poor. Every Jammer can easily get gems, by an      adventure or games, to spend in the stores around Jamaa. Do not give them good items, they        are lying!

BUBBLE TIP: HOW TO GET AROUND IT.
    * Check their animals. Do they have better items on?
    * Check their pets. If they have accessories, the Jammer has gems.
    * Go to their den. If it has good items/wallpaper/ flooring, they are not poor and are                lying to you.
    * Check their trade. Does it have good items on?

4. "Send me the best gift and I'll give you my outfit!"
If you gift this person a rare or a beta, they will not give you their outfit, they will simply run      off with your item. NEVER trust somebody who says this, even if you know them!

5. "OMG I got scammed/ scale! Send me gifts please"
Sure, this person might have been scammed (not likely though) however, do not send them         the item. They are lying, and you would have been scammed!

BUBBLE TIP: HOW TO GET AROUND IT.
This only works if you have seen them before, and they aren't very smart.
   * Check their animals. Do any of them wear the item they want?
   * Check their trade. Is the item on it?

6. "Can I try on your ___? I want to see how it looks."
Yeah, do not trust anyone who says this. They will just keep it for an easy deal! Sometimes,
being too trusting is a problem.

7.  "Send me funny items to make me look silly!"
This isn't really a scam, but you still shouldn't give them your rares. You will be scamming
yourself, and losing a 'funny' item.

REMEMBER JAMMERS, THESE ARE JUST A FEW OF THE MANY SCAMS. WATCH OUT FOR THEM, AND NEVER TRUST A SCAMMER.

More about scamming

Q. What does 'scam' mean?
A. It means to lie to somebody and then steal their item. It's never good to scam, and it's never          good to be scammed. AJ Scammers often say that they will give you back your item, to make      you trust them, and then run away.

Q. How do I get my items back if I have been scammed?
A. It isn't likely that the scammer will give you back your items, but remember, it can happen.          Other ways to get them back are:
*Buying it if it is store bought
*Trading people who have it
*Playing adventures, to get it back as a prize
*Playing games that give you prizes, such as sky high.

Q. Can I tell someone about a scam?
A. Of course! Tell an adult, so that they can call AJHQ, or tell AJHQ yourself by clicking that          red 'report' button on the scammer's player card.

Remember Jammers, Block and REPORT that scammer. Stay safe!

  1. I have never gotten back an item that was scammed. Even if you report the player, AJHQ won't give you your lost item...
